Contacts and info notes

Keep phone numbers and trip know-how in one place, and link each to the journeys, stays and days it matters for.

For trip editors · Updated October 17, 2026

A contact is someone to reach: a hotel's front desk, a taxi firm, a tour guide. An info note is know-how: ticket rules, a tent guide, what to pack. Each lives once in the trip's Reference, and you link it to the things it matters for, so it also shows right where it's needed.

Where a linked contact or note shows

Linked to Shows
A train, flight, activity or meal Right under it on its day: a ☎ line with a phone number you can tap, or an ⓘ line you tap to read.
A stay On the stay's card, and on the Sleeping: line of every night there.
A plan section, or a whole day In the day's Good to know.
Anything In full in Reference (Contacts or Info), with On: links back to each place it's linked.

The booklet prints each one in full on the days it applies to, and again in its Reference pages. A shared link never shows them.

Add one from the thing it's for

On the item's page (a leg's or activity's Edit page), or from Contacts & info links on Edit trip and on a day's page, use the Contacts & info box:

  • Pick one this trip has and click Add, to link one you've already made;
  • or fill in New contact (name, role, phone, email) and click Add contact;
  • or fill in New info note (title, text) and click Add note.

For something about the whole day, use + Contact or note at the top of the day's page.

Remove from this unlinks it from the item; the contact or note itself is kept.

Their own pages

On Edit trip, under Contacts & info, click New contact or New info note, or Edit beside one. A contact has Name, Role, Phone, Email, Address, Website and Notes; an info note has a Title, a Body (paragraphs separated by a blank line), a Link and an Order.

Under Show it on, tick every item and day it matters for. Untick to unlink. Click Save.

Delete removes it from Reference and from everything it was on; the items themselves are kept.

Problems

Problem What to do
A phone number isn't tappable Put it in the contact's Phone field, not in its notes.
A contact shows on the wrong day Check what it's linked to under Show it on.
A phone number is typed in a day's text Use Tidy suggestions to turn it into a contact.
