Getting started
What ShareBucketList is for, how a goal becomes a trip, and the first three things to do.
Updated October 19, 2026
ShareBucketList keeps the things you want to do someday and the trips you take to do them, in one place, shared with the people you travel with.
From an idea to a trip
| Step | What you do | Where |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Discover | Browse activities, events and places | Discover in the left menu |
| 2. Dream | Add the ones you want to your bucket list, or a goal of your own | My bucket list |
| 3. Pick a date | Choose when, or the event date for an activity | My dates |
| 4. Plan | Turn goals into a trip: days, journeys, stays, bookings | Trips |
| 5. Done | Tick goals off, add photos, rate what you did | My adventures |
Your first three things
Your dashboard shows these with a tick as you do them; Hide this puts them away.
- Add a goal. On My bucket list, click Add a goal and type what you want to do, or click Add to bucket list on any activity, event or place. See your bucket list.
- Start a trip. On Trips, click New trip, or open a goal and click Plan a trip to start one with its dates and places filled in. See starting a trip.
- Invite someone. On the trip page, click People, type their email and pick what they may do. See inviting people.
Good to know
- Trips are private: only the people you invite can open them.
- Your travel profile (passport, seat preference, loyalty programs) is only for you and whoever books.
- You can download your data or delete your account at any time.
